If there is any reason on earth that I can call them both friends for life it is because I have chosen to accept them as friends and love them, unconditionally, as the women they have become.
But that did not just happen. For me, life coaching created a new awareness of my thoughts and feelings that helped me create a new relationship by transitioning from mother/child to friends for life. I chose to learn and grow from the failures and the bad moments, as those moments taught us how to love each other unconditionally beyond the mother/child bond we had held. I also chose to carry forward in my history of life with these young humans all the good things, especially the unconditional love we have for each other.
Daughters by blood, friends by choice.
My mother and I chose long ago to be friends for life, and I'm blessed to call her that yet today. I'm eternally grateful to have had a loving mutual friendship with her all my adult life.
Here are the four of us at my second daughter's wedding. Within 4 years of this picture I was blessed with 3 vibrant granddaughters and two delightful grandsons. Fully blessed.
